Day 33

Day 33Myrtle & Pearls... I did my first fashion shoot today :) After 8.5hrs at work I spent another 7 hrs shooting photography. I paid the price today but it was definitely worth it :) oh ya and considering I was sooooo tired today and the shoot went until 2 am this morning and the second half of the shoot just happened to happen after midnight... im using it for day 34 :)

I've always talked about doing a photo scavenger hunt and I had an idea today :) I declare a photo challenge for everyone to particpiate in!!

These are the day's I worried about when I decided to take this challenge... some day's it's so hard to feel inspired. I wonder why that is, I mean I know I can't expect to feel creative everyday but it isn't like the world stops being beautiful, I just stop seeing the beautiful things. Fortunately for me, I have a secret weapon :) His name is Cory...

I don't know what this is.... ? I drive by it on the way home from work everyday and it looks like a mail truck but not one from around here, or am I just unaware of the 1930's bank this may or may not be from? Anyways, I've been wanting to photograph it for a few days now and Im glad I did it before it went back to wherever it came from :) Cor says it looks mobbish... :) Enjoi!

Oh Sam... my dear Thailand friend :) We've shared so much together; buckets...obviously ;)...sunscreen..probably :)... and some of the best days of my life..hands down without a doubt! Girls night :) Tara and I will be collaborating with a very special lady in the next few days for her fall 2010 line. Her clothes are amazing and her dance moves even better :)

I call this one "Natural Disaster". Cory is on his way home from Calgary...again. And he is pretty upset. I would be too if I waited 2 days for a flight I was told I would be on and then 2 and 1/2 hours in a line with 200 people who were all individually told the flight they were waiting for was reserved for UK residents only and then directed to another line of 200 people for the next flight again to be individually told all planes at this time are reserved for UK residents. Don't they have intercoms at Airports? Or how about one of the three attendants (2 of whom Cor assumes were paid only to provide emotional support to the one who was actually attending passengers) walking down the line with this information. Anyways, the chaos in this image is the result of reflection and I can't pin point why, but something about this picture makes me smile. I feel like it's cheeky. Maybe Im a crazy person and everyone else thinks it sucks but if this image evokes any emotion or thought in you (whoever you are) I'm curious to know how it is interpreted :)

I've got good news and bad news... the bad news is that Volcanic ash foiled Cory's European holiday but the good news is that we got to go on an adventure with our friends! Im sorry your plane didn't take off but Im grateful for the extra time :)

Im still working for OSBA and I encourage everyone to pick up an Old Strathcona Business Association Guide when it comes out but until then here are a few teasers :) I don't often shoot commercial images but am very surprised at how much I actually enjoyed it! It's like I got to go shopping but instead of buying something and feeling guilty or not buysing something and feeling empty (oh boy) I left with a camera full of pretty pictures :) Erin 1, Consumerism 0 ...

Day 17 Sometimes when Im in Edmonton and the weather has been really awful for a while and the tree's are all dying because of climate change I forget how beautiful the praries really are. After 2 for 1 steak dinner at Tom Goodchilds Moose Factory (only on Monday nights) Cor drove me out to this feild and in the evening light I remembered :) I love white clouds and gold feilds... Kinda reminds of of that game Oregon Trail... anyone ever play it? ;P

Day 16 Matchstick Wagon... Remember that Game Oregon Trail? I used to fantasize about living in those days which is kind of strange because I never made it to the end... my whole family died of Cholora or some sort of fever... I forget :) Anyways, Cor's uncle builds these wagons out of matches and they really are very cool. I have been super sick... again... so Cor helped me out with this idea. He set it up and I shot it,we had fun :) Well I had fun anyways :)

I love photographing animals. They don't change the way they behave just because you stick a camera in their face :) This is the first time I've ever photographed a bunny but it was actually kind of fun and Im really happy with the way the photo's turned out... who knew shooting bunnies could be so fun!! :P Enjoi!

Im feeling a little less inspiration right now then I have since I started. I worry about putting up stuff that isn't good enough to be up. I don't want to put up bad photo's just because I have to put something up for the day... It might be harder than I thought to get 365 fantastic photos!! Anyways, Easter Sunday I went out to my cousins and ate breakfast with my family which is one of my favorite things to do... Im sure most people feel this way but I am really lucky to have the family I do. Matty has been my best friend since before I was born (actually), Im excited to spend some time with him and get some photos for his mommas x-mas present. Day 10 I met up with a friend for life (Im sure of it) and laughed for almost 2 hours. Now thats a good day :)
